History
AG RX was established in 1993 as a result of a merger of three longtime independent agricultural retailers: California Ag Resources, Joseph Powers Company, and Pacific Pest Control. These three companies complemented each other in their areas of expertise, including liquid fertilizer, bulk dry fertilizer, fruit, vegetable, and citrus crops, and pesticide and pest control. By coming together, they formed the largest independent agricultural company in Ventura County, bringing over 100 years’ combined experience to the industry. NH3 Services of Santa Maria was purchased by AG RX in 2007, enabling the company to expand services into northern Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties. AG RX entered the Salinas market in the fall of 2018 and is now only one of two agriculture retailers with locations reaching from Salinas down to Oxnard.

Award-Winning Standards
In 1996, AG RX won the National Environmental Respect Award, the premier award in Ag Retail stewardship. AG RX has also been the recipient of Oxnard’s Wastewatch Award.
